Welcome to the Northeast USA Student Chapter of the Society for Marine Mammalogy!

We are the Northeast Student Chapter of the Society for Marine Mammalogy! We represent undergraduate, graduate, and recently graduated students from the Northeastern United States, including Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.
Our mission is to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where students can support one other in their education and research in marine mammal science. We do not tolerate discrimination of anyone based on race, religion, ethnicity, sex, gender, disability, or sexual orientation. While we are newly formed, we hope to regularly host virtual and in person meetings so that we can receive and give feedback on our research and build professional networks.
